Make sure your values take root by clarifying the strategy and systems that shape daily work.

What determines whether organizational values take root? How decisions are made, how information is communicated, how feedback flows, and how teams stay accountable to their goals.

Organizations often rely on capable individuals to “figure it out.” Over time, this creates unclear decision rights, shifting priorities, diffused accountability, and friction that feels interpersonal. Without explicit agreements, culture becomes personality-dependent.

We help leadership teams bring clarity to the operating agreements that shape daily work—and align their strategy and internal systems, so their mission and values become lived practice.

Step 1: Assessment

We start by assessing how clearly the organization’s mission, strategy, and internal systems are understood across the team.

The Strategy & Systems Assessment™  is completed by each team member, and captures how people across the organization experience clarity, alignment, and accountability in their daily work. The assessment reveals patterns in how mission, strategy, and operational systems are functioning, creating a clear foundation for focused strategic dialogue. Participants rate clarity and effectiveness across core areas such as mission and values, strategic priorities, decision-making, information flow, resource allocation, and team accountability.

Step 2: Workshop

Then, we workshop it to identify where alignment will make the greatest difference—and an implementation plan.

Some organizations need renewed clarity of purpose and strategy. Others need stronger internal agreements to support their day-to-day work. Some require attention to both to move forward coherently.

  • When mission, vision, values, or strategic priorities need refinement or realignment.

    In this workshop, teams:

    • Clarify or refine mission, vision, and values

    • Establish disciplined strategic priorities and goals

    • Align around what will and will not be prioritized

This ensures direction is coherent and shared.

  • When identity and strategy are clear, but internal agreements need strengthening. In this workshop, teams:

    • Make decision-making authority explicit

    • Align information and resource flow with strategy

    • Clarify ownership and accountability structures

    • Establish clear agreements for feedback and conflict

This brings coherence between what you value and how you work.

Inclusive and engaging

“I’ve never been part of a strategic planning process that was so inclusive and engaging, while also landing on something so clear and focused. Most processes don’t do either of those well. They’re not that inclusive, and they don’t produce a clear, focused strategy, let alone both.”
